Well, I’m back home from my BIG Texas adventure with Uncle David.. and BOY did we have FUN!  We were so far out in the wild, wild west that we did not have internet/cell service most of the time.. (thus, the lack of blog updates.. and sorry I didn’t call, mom.. I couldn’t! 🙂 )  But, I’ll recount the trip for y’all this week.

Many of you have been asking for more specifics on numbers and species, so I’ll be sure to include that too! Stay tuned..

I will tell you that we exceeded expectations for Mom’s Big Year! YEEHAW! I’m sincerely grateful for all my friends, old and new- that helped ‘Mom’s Big Year- Texas Edition’ along the way. I am especially indebted to my Uncle David for taking on this bold adventure with me! I feel truly blessed!

I am humbled.  I’m exhausted and exhilarated. My soul is refreshed and renewed. I’m back to doing the daily mommy duties with a new skip in my step! 🙂

And AS IF I didn’t have enough with 7 intense days of birding TX, I’ll be back in the saddle birding my home turf in 6 hours.
